Sunday May 11th:
Today I decided to go for run with my dog. I thought since I brought my dog that it would make me run for a farther distance. I ran around my neighborhood for about 20 minutes. I am trying to push myself more and more each time I go for a run. I also have been really trying to drink more water. Water is supposed to cleanse out your system.

Monday May 12th:
Today I was lifting weights to build up my strength in my arms so I can finally do a pull up. I could never do a pull up. Hopefully if I build up my strength I will be able to do at least one pull up. Also, I did about 35 push ups, not all at once, but all together.

Tuesday May 13th:
Today I played on Xbox Kinect with my neighbors. This surprisingly takes a lot out of you while playing. After this, we all went outside and walked to the park. I chased my neighbor around the park for about an hour. I then went home and did about 100 squats. My legs are definitely getting stronger.

Wednesday May 14th:
Today I went for another run and I ran for about the same time as I did on Monday. I think that the more I run the easier it will become. I am proud of myself for running as much as I have already.

Thursday May 15th:
Today I was lifting again. I did 15 reps each, and I did 30 push ups. I am also trying to eat healthier. It is sometimes hard to eat healthy when I can't deny the food that my parents make. Hopefully, I can convince my family to eat healthier too.

Sunday April 27th:
Today, I played with my neighbor Eliza outside and we played tag. After babysitting her, I ran for 10 minutes. Throughout the day, I drank more water than I ever have before. This is a good step towards being healthy.

Monday April 28th:
Today at softball, we practiced fielding the ball and hitting. I did really well fielding at first base, because I caught the ball almost every time. Then, while hitting with Ashley I had really good cuts. After practice, I went home and did one hundred squats.

Tuesday April 29th:
Today I couldn't go to softball practice, because I could not get a ride home. When I got home, since I couldn't go to softball practice, I ran and jogged for twenty minutes. This is a step up from Sunday, because on Sunday I only ran for ten minutes.

Wednesday April 30th:
Today we had a softball game against De La Salle at the Lemont Park District field. We ended up losing the game 13-4. Without the first inning and all the runs we gave up, it would have played out differently in the end. Overall we fought it out in the end and played a decent game.

Thursday May 1st:
Today after school, I went to a concert with my brother John. I saw Koo Koo Kangeroo and The Aquabats. The whole concert was basically a dance party. I danced the entire time and I probably burned a lot of calories. After the concert I got to talk to the members of the band; Koo Koo Kangaroo. It was a grand time.

Sunday April 13th:
Today I went shopping with my mom for about 2 hours. When I got home I played catch with my brother.  Today was a very slow day so I really didn't feel like running. In all, the day was pretty dark and gloomy.

Monday April 14th:
Since it was raining/snowing today my softball team and I only had pictures and no practice. Also because of the rain, I could not go for a run. I probably wouldn't have anyways because my knees have been bothering me. Anyways, I worked on my abs and arms today because of my knee soreness. I did some crunches and apple pickers. Lastly, I used my workout machine for my arms and I did some push ups.

Tuesday April 15th:
Surprisingly, I had a really fun time at practice today. I was having a really good day with my fielding and hitting. I can definitely see myself improving with each practice and game. My team and I worked on sinarios of where the ball would be hit and when to run when on base. We couldn't do as much, though, because we were in the gym and we did not have as much space as we usually would on our field.

Wednesday April 16th:
Waking up today I was very anxious because today was our last day of school before break. I had a great day because I finally did well on my geometry quiz. Then after school,  at softball I hit exceptionally well. All in all, my day was good even though I am getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow.

Thursday April 17th:
Today was a terrible day. I got my wisdom teeth taken out today and it was not good. I don't really remember that much about it, but I am in a lot of pain right now, and it won't stop bleeding. I obviously did not do anything physical today. Hopefully, I should get back being physical by Saturday.

Sunday April 6th:
Today I went for a walk with my dog for about two hours. Not only do I need the exercise, my dog does too. After walking my dog, I got home and practiced throwing and catching a softball with my brother. Lastly, I used the workout machine I have to strengthen my arms.

Monday April 7th:
While at softball practice today we focused a lot on hitting. I need as much practice with this as possible. When I get up to bat, I get too nervous and I don't swing. Other than batting, we worked on our fielding. Since I play many different positions, I rotated between 1st and 3rd base.

Tuesday April 8th:
Today at softball fielding was our main focus. I again rotated between 1st and 3rd. My team is getting better and better with our throws and getting to the ball. Practice does pay off. After fielding, we again worked on hitting.

Wednesday April 9th:
After school today there was no softball practice. When I got home my mom and I went to the store to get things to decorate my friend's locker for her birthday the next day. When I got home I used our workout machine again for my arms. I use it to build up my strength for throwing.

Thursday April 10th:
Today the entire sophomore class went to the Holocaust museum. This was a very interesting trip. I found the artifacts both intriguing and saddening. We walked around on a tour for about 3-3:30 hours. After this exhausting day of walking around the entire time, I had a very brief softball practice. We just worked on our throws today.

Sunday March 30th:
Today I went for a 1 mile run. I usually hate running, but today I actually liked it for some reason.  It helps when I listen to fast pace and up beat music when I run. The music helps me stay energized; I seem to have more stamina.

Monday March 31st:
Today, as usual, I had softball after school. For practice we did something completely different, on the other hand. My team and I practiced sliding. Sliding is fun only if you know how to do it. Although I enjoy sliding, my mom doesn't because then she has to wash my dirty pants. Furthermore, after sliding we threw our normal warm ups, and the rest of the practice was more sliding.

Tuesday April 1st:
Other than softball practice today I went home and used a workout app on my phone. The app has specific workouts for each part of your body. Surprisingly, the workouts are actually somewhat fun. I have also been trying to drink more water since I usually don't drink that much water.

Wednesday April 2nd:
While at softball today we did some sliding again. Along with the sliding came my mom getting mad that I was covered in mud and dirt. Apparently I would "ruin her car." After I got home from softball I took my dog for a long walk to clear my head. Taking walks actually helps me.

Thursday April 3rd:
Since there was an immense amount of rain today, I had to stay inside and get my exercise done. I again used the app on my phone. One thing that I enjoy doing is a plank. I barely have abs, but these are still fun for me. In the end, this week has been a lot better; I was a lot more active this week, and I feel better about myself.

Sunday March 23rd:
Today I walked around the mall with my mom for about 5 hours. When I got home I did 100 squats.

Monday March 24th:
Today after softball practice I went for a 1 mile run. I am starting out slow so I don't strain myself. It took my about 8 minutes tp complete it.

Tuesday March 25th:
Today after my two hour softball practice I played Kinect on the X-box with my neighbors. We played the dancing game and the sports game. After this I went home and did 50 crunches.

Wednesday March 26th:
Today after softball I went for another run; I cut my time down by about it 20 seconds. It isn't a lot, but I'm glad I'm still cutting my time down.

Thursday March 27th:
Today we didn't have softball so I went straight home. At home I did 50 crunches,30 apple pickers, and 100 squats. I also have been eating better for the past week. I am trying to be healthier.

Friday, March 21, 2014

Sunday March 16th:
Today I went to the mall and walked around for about five hours. After I got home I did some crunches and cherry pickers. My abs were a little sore after today.

Monday March 17th:
After trying on dresses for two hours I went home and did 100 squats. I also started going to bed earlier because when I'm tired I don't want to workout. More sleep means more motivation.

Tuesday March 18th:
Today at softball we went over our signs and pitches. We then walked through everything. We also got our uniforms today; I'm number 21 this year. When I got home I did 40 cherry pickers.

Wednesday March 19th:
Today at softball we got to dive on to mats. We did this so we wouldn't be afraid to dive for the ball during the game. We also hit balls that were thrown to us instead of off off tees.

Thursday March 20th:
Today for softball we went outside for once. My team wasn't throwing that well today so we went back instead. To take the pressure off of the bad practice my coach let us play game. The game is kind of like dodge ball but with a softball.

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Sunday March 9th:
Today I did squats and crunches. I did about 100 squats and 50 crunches. I drank water after and during the workout. Lastly, I ate a banana for the protein.

Monday March 10th:
Today I had softball; we worked on our usual grounders and fly balls. We also batted and did run throughs.

Tuesday March 11th:
Today at softball we batted for most of the time. This helps let out my anger and any other emotions I might have. After today my arm is a little sore.

Wednesday March 12th:
Today at softball I got hit in the eye with a ball so I sat out the first half of practice. After recovering, I got back to practice and did ground balls.

Thursday March 13th:
There was no softball today so I did about 50 sit ups and ate some fruit. My right arm is still sore from throwing so I decided to take it easy.

Friday, March 7, 2014

Saturday March 1st:
Today my family was having a party for my mom's birthday. I had to help clean everything so I was up and down my stairs all day. Also, before I went to sleep I did about 150 squats.

Monday March 3rd:
Today were softball tryouts. They were not as bad as I thought they were going to be; I am actually really excited for this season. At tryouts we stretched and threw at the beginning. After our arms were warmed we did some basic fundamentals of softball that included grounders and fly balls. Practice was from about 2:30 to 5.

Tuesday March 4:
Today the gym was not available for us to use so we went up in the hallway and worked on some hand work with tennis balls. We also did planks today. My team did not use gloves today so we can get used to the proper way to catch a ball. Practice today was actually kind of fun.

Wednesday March 5:
As the days go on and I go to more and more softball practice I get more excited. Today other than our usual throwing and grounders, we hit off of tees in the gym. We did swings with one arm first so our other arms gets stronger for when we swing. I love batting because it is a  release for me. If I am having a bad day I can always count on batting to make me feel better.

Thursday March 6:
Today at softball I found out I was on JV, I do not mind this at all. I get to be a leader on this team since I am a returner and considered an upper clansman. At practice today we dd our usual throws, grounders, and fly balls. After we were done with that, two of our coaches pitched live with wiffle balls. This really helped me because I seem to have a hard time hitting off of a live pitch, but I can hit anything else.

Sunday February 23rd:
Today I was babysitting my 5 year old neighbor. She is very energetic so I suggested we play Just Dance on the Wii. We danced for about a half hour until she got tired of the game. After the dancing, we played with a volleyball. A five year can definitely tire me out fastly.

Monday February 24th:
Today I got x-rays on my knees to see if I could be cleared for softball. After that long process, I finally got home and I did about 150 squats. After the squats I used an app on my phone for ab exercises. Surprisingly, I wasn't that sore the next day.

Tuesday February 25th:
Today at softball conditioning I did about 40 jump boxes altogether. After the jump boxes I used the jump rope. This was a heavier jump rope used to gain muscle so it was a little bit harder to use. Lastly, I played catch with Ashley for about 25 minutes.

Wednesday February 26th:
Today at softball we did every machine in thw the weight room. We put lighter weights on and did reps for 30 seconds then added weights on and did reps for another 30 seconds. After the machines we did ab work. After today my abs were really sore. Today wasn't all bad because I found out my knees are fine and I can play softball.

Thursday February 27th:
Today we didn't have softball conditioning. I went home and used my app again, but this time I focused on arms. I did push ups among other things. After today I am so ready for the weekend and some much needed rest.

Friday, February 14, 2014

Feb 9th
Today I did 100 squats. After, I drank water and I felt accomplished. Today was a relaxing day.

Feb 10th
Today I did 50 crunches and 50 squats. I also used my workout machine in my basement to work on my arms. I wasn't sore afterwards.

Feb 11th
Today I softball conditioning. We were in the weight room again. Ashley and I used the jump rope to work out our legs. This was fun but still was exercise.

Feb 12th
Today at softball conditioning ashley and I did jump boxes. This made me sore the next day. I was trying to build up the muscles in my legs.

Feb 13th
Today at softball conditioning we threw the ball around. This helped my arm get strengthened. I love throwing the ball.

Sunday Feb. 2nd:
Today was the superbowl, which means a lot of food. I kind of got some excise today surprisingly. My older brother, John, was having his friends come over to watch the game. This means that I am forced to clean even though I have no one coming over. I walked up and down our two sets a stairs about 15 times to clean for the people coming over. This was about the only exercise I got today.

Monday Feb. 3rd:
Today after school, I helped my dad shovel some of the snow that was left. There wasn't much snow because my dad loves to use the snow blower. Monday's are so dull so exercise on Monday's sometimes doesn't happen for me. Today, though, it did happen miraculously.

Tuesday Feb. 4th:
Today after school I had softball conditioning. We were in the gym today. Dnaa, Taylor, and I didn't have our mitts today so we had to use a tennis ball. Catching a tennis ball with your left hand isn't easy at all. All three of us basically failed at this. After conditioning I rushed home to go to the basketball game at St. Rita. Cailin and I go to almost all the games. When we were there we walked around a lot because the gym was packed and there wasn't anywhere to sit.

Wednesday Feb. 5th:
Today I once again had conditioning but this time we were in the weight room. I first rode the bike for 10 minutes and went 3 miles. I think the bike is a good way for me to warm up before lifting weights. Ashley and I used the medicine ball again; it seems to be getting easier to throw it now. I also did ab work with Ashley; it was a productive day.

Thursday Feb. 6th
Today instead of conditioning we had a meeting about the upcoming softball season. It was a bitter sweet meeting. Coach Jill had all of us get out all our emotions about the school closing and the season so we won't carry them throughout the entire season. The team is going to try our very best this season. After the meeting I was super tired so I went home, ate dinner, and fell asleep at 6:30pm. I unfortunately did not get any extensive exercise in today.

Thursday, January 30, 2014

Sunday January 26th:
Today was the first day I got to sleep late in a long time. I love sleep, even though my mom doesn't love that I sometimes wake up at 4 in the afternoon. Anyways, today was a pretty relaxing day. I went to my neighbors house and played Xbox Kinect with him for about an hour. Since he's 11, he wasn't that thrilled that I beat him. After playing on the Xbox I chased around my younger neighbor around the house. This was basically my physical activity for the day.

Monday January 27th:
Today we had school off because of the falling temperatures, so I got to sleep late again. I didn't have a long time of physical activity today. I only shoveled the snow in my backyard on my deck for about a half hour. Other than that I relaxed the whole day and watched Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.

Tuesday January 28th:
Today we yet again had school off. Although I love my sleep I was starting to miss my MAA family. I shoveled the snow again for about a half hour. After the snow, I went back to my Grey's Anatomy on Netflix.

Wednesday January 29th:
Today was possibly the worst day I have ever experienced. I had softball conditioning in the weight room after school for an hour. I was on the bike for about 14 minutes and I rode 3.5 miles. I also ran the stairs a few times. If I did not have conditioning right after school, honestly, I probably would not have done anything. After the meeting at school, I balled my eyes out for about 2 hours straight, Skyped someone for 45 minutes, then went back to crying, and finally fell asleep really late. That was the worst news I could possibly imagine. We all have to pull through it. We're MAA Eagles, we can get through anything.

Thursday January 30th:
Today at school was also a terrible day. Everyone was sad and talking about what schools they will have to go to. I truthfully cannot see myself fit in at any other school other than Mt. Assisi. Anyways, after school I had softball conditioning in the weight room again. Ashley and I used the medicine ball to help strengthen our arms. I truly hope things get better for everyone and I wish every eagle the best of luck.

MAA Forever, Class of 2016.

Saturday & Sunday January 18th & 19th:
Sunday was the Mother Daughter retreat so Cailin and I help set up for the retreat in the gym. We set up chairs and tables. In between setting up the chairs, Cailin and I shot a basketball around. The retreat was fun but I did NOT want to get up early.

Monday January 20th:
I finally got to sleep late today; sleep is the best thing ever. After I woke up at about 2, I went to the mall with Cailin. We walked around the mall from 3:30 to about 7. We did not buy anything but we tried on some dresses for fun.

Tuesday January 21st:
Today is my neighbor, Eliza's, 5th birthday! She's gotten so big in the past 5 years. She still calls me "Keena" instead of Christina; which I'm completely okay with. Below is a collage I made for Eliza on her birthday. Other than it being Eliza's birthday, Cailin and I went to the St. Rita basketball game. There wasn't anyone interesting there so Cailin and I basically walked around the whole time. That walking was my exercise for the day.

Wednesday January 22nd:
After school, as usual, I had softball conditioning from 2:30-3:45. We were in the weight room lifting weights for the day. Ashley and I used the medicine ball to strengthen our arms. By today I could feel that I was getting sick. I am always sick!

Thursday January 23rd:
Today I skipped softball conditioning because I didn't feel good so I knew I wouldn't give 100% during our practice. Even though I am sick and skipped conditioning, I still had some activity other than in gym class. My mom and I went to Target for about three hours and we walked around the entire store. So even though I am sick I still got my physical activity in.
